About the Role
The Accounts Payable Specialist I will be responsible for the daily financial control of transport invoices from our end customer and their settlement. In the Transport Management System, all steps of freight transport are automatically recorded and ultimately lead to automated invoicing. You check the invoice for correctness, timeliness, completeness and, if necessary, communicate with both internal and external customers and carriers. Whenever one of these processes does not quite go as planned, you dive into the paperwork to see what has been agreed and what exactly needs to be done to solve the problem. In this role, contact with colleagues from your own financial as well as operational department is very important.
What the Candidate Will Do
Analyse and approve invoices based on logistics transactions performedGetting to the bottom of financial administrative discrepancies, escalating them to the appropriate departments and resolving themProvide support to operations as needed on financial issues related to their customerDelivering cost savingscost control to the customer andor Uber FreightCommunicating with operations and or AP team regarding invoice discrepancies presentIdentifying, analysing and proposing solutions on issues regularly arising in the financial area
