ppAre you passionate about engineering innovation and eager to make a tangible impact in the medical device industry? /ppApplied Medical is looking for a skilled and driven Automation Controls Engineer to help shape the future of automated manufacturing. /ppThe Automation Controls Engineer assists in development and designing projects of Automated Equipment. /ppYou will work closely with the Automation Design Engineer to program and build the controls used to control the equipment that will automate certain aspects of our manufacturing process to create medical devices. /ppApplied Medical Automation is a large team of which most team members are located in the US. /ppThe Automation Controls Engineer is part of the Applied Medical Europe Automation team (9) and reports to the Team Leader Automation Design in Amersfoort. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliUnderstand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) as per training given /liliUnderstand and comply with safety rules like CE, ISO norms and Company policies. /liliDesign and draft electrical pneumatic schematics and diagrams /liliDevelop and maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems /liliDevelop and maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems /liliDesign and draft electrical panel layouts for automation equipment /liliMaintain an inventory of electrical components utilized in automation control systems /liliSupport (mechanical) design engineers with RD control systems /liliProvide detailed machine operation instructions. /liliDevelop and maintain a software lifecycle in a regulated environment /liliProvide technical support to customers/users /li /ulh3What you bring /h3ulliUniversity degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering OR 4 year experience in a Controls Engineering role /liliExperience in electrical and pneumatic schematic design /liliExperience in HMI and PLC programming, preferably in ladder logic /liliUnderstanding of electrical assembly and wiring /liliKnowledge of electrical safety standards /liliRead, write, speak and comprehend English /liliAbility to work in a highly regulated environment /liliUnderstanding of technical reasoning, prototyping and manufacturing processes /liliPossess technical analytical skills and hands‑on approach to problem solving /li /ulh3What we offer /h3ulliAn international working environment, fueled by respect and a healthy work-life balance tailored to the business and team member’s needs /lili27 paid vacation days (based on fulltime contract) with option to purchase five additional days /liliCommuting allowance of €0,23/km or full coverage of public transportation costs /liliA wide variety of internal trainings and development possibilities and a tuition program for external trainings /liliThe opportunity to pro-actively work on your vitality and fitness /liliState-of-the-art facilities, including green areas, in-house restaurant and gym /liliAdditional benefits, such as:ulliAttractive pension scheme (your contribution at 4%, ours at 12%) /lili€50 net monthly health insurance contribution /liliTwo (paid) days per year dedicated to volunteering activities /liliSeveral fun company events and meaningful initiatives organized throughout the year /li /ul /li /ulpAt Applied Medical, we are committed to make a meaningful, positive difference, each and every day.
