ppAre you passionate about engineering innovation and eager to make a tangible impact in the medical device industry? /p pApplied Medical is looking for a skilled and driven Automation Controls Engineer to help shape the future of automated manufacturing. /p pThe Automation Controls Engineer assists in development and design projects of Automated Equipment. You will work closely with the Automation Design Engineer to program and build the controls used to control the equipment that will automate certain aspects of our manufacturing process to create medical devices. /p pApplied Medical Automation is a large team, most members of which are located in the US. The Automation Controls Engineer is part of the Applied Medical Europe Automation team (9) and reports to the Team Leader Automation Design in Amersfoort. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liUnderstand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) as per training given /li liUnderstand and comply with safety rules like CE, ISO norms and Company policies /li liDesign and draft electrical pneumatic schematics and diagrams /li liDevelop and maintain Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) systems /li liDevelop and maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems /li liDesign and draft electrical panel layouts for automation equipment /li liMaintain an inventory of electrical components utilized in automation control systems /li liSupport mechanical design engineers with RD control systems /li liProvide detailed machine operation instructions /li liDevelop and maintain a software lifecycle in a regulated environment /li liProvide technical support to customers/users /li /ul h3You bring /h3 ul liUniversity degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or 4 years experience in a Controls Engineering role /li liExperience in electrical and pneumatic schematic design /li liExperience in HMI and PLC programming, preferably in ladder logic /li liUnderstanding of electrical assembly and wiring /li liKnowledge of electrical safety standards /li liRead, write, speak and comprehend English /li liAbility to work in a highly regulated environment /li liUnderstanding of technical reasoning, prototyping and manufacturing processes /li liPossess technical analytical skills and hands‑on approach to problem solving /li /ul h3We offer /h3 ul liAn international working environment, fueled by respect and a healthy work‑life balance tailored to the business and team member’s needs /li li27 paid vacation days (based on full‑time contract) with the option to purchase five additional days /li liCommuting allowance of €0.23/km or an NS Business card subscription /li liA wide variety of internal trainings and development possibilities and a tuition program for external trainings /li liThe opportunity to proactively work on your vitality and fitness /li liState‑of‑the‑art facilities, including green areas, an in‑house restaurant and gym /li /ul h3Additional benefits /h3 ul liAttractive pension scheme (your contribution at 4%, ours at 12%) /li li€50 net monthly health insurance contribution /li liTwo paid days per year dedicated to volunteering activities /li liSeveral fun company events and meaningful initiatives organized throughout the year /li /ul h3About Applied Medical /h3 pAt Applied Medical, we are committed to making a meaningful, positive difference each and every day.
