Your new role

As a Business Development Consultant, you will primarily be responsible for driving business development of Industrial Automation and Advanced solutions, across products in Yokogawa portfolio. As a key member of the growing sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for promotions and sales, for both prospects within the industry, as well as non – Yokogawa customers with existing competitor systems and solutions, with focus on digitization.

As a Business Development Consultant  you:

  • Drive sales of industrial automation software solutions in the NL territory
  • Hunt for opportunities and close orders in a team setting
  • Create relationships with new prospects
  • Define sales strategies and execute those
  • Contribute to sound business plans for growth
  • Create fit for purpose value propositions for digitalization solutions
  • Find and explore new product-market combinations
  • Achieve profitable order intake of Industrial Automation projects

  • What you’ll need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience is B2B sales, outbound experience will be a plus
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation and digitalization solutions like IIoT & robotics.
  • Knowledge of economics of processes and supply chain
  • Result-oriented (‘hunter’ skills), target driven and excellent presentation and communication skills
  • You are competitive and dynamic in attitude, and you are bold and efficient in your approach towards your internal and external stakeholder
  • A self-starter, as well as a good team player
  • A creative dealmaker with a strong perseverance in getting the job done
  • The ability to interact successfully with CEO’s, discipline managers, plant managers as well as procurement, switching between roles of account manager and business consultant
