Job Description
The main role of the Channel Account Manager is the recruitment, acquisition, development, retention, and management of Radio Channel Partners. This should be approached with a creative and accountable attitude.
The Channel Account Manager will manage all aspects of the relationship between Motorola Solutions and its partners, including all commercial and technical facets, enabling them to develop and grow successful independent businesses through the reselling of Motorola’s Radio Solutions portfolio.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
- Formulate a winning sales go-to-market strategy.
- Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities within the assigned scope (current and pipelined partners), engaging other teams as needed (account managers, business finance, operations).
- Manage sales to execute the plan (Tier 1 partners). Be accountable for annual sales plan objectives and ensure they are met or exceeded.
- Resolve or escalate issues when appropriate.
- Assist with creation and drive marketing plans of channel partners.
- Work closely with Distributors to understand and execute strategies for business growth.
- Complete rollout of key elements of the Partner Program.
- Develop and maximize the Solution Partner Community.
- Ensure all channel communication is clear, concise, and aligned with company direction.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed weekly forecast and commitments.
- Report on competitive trends in the territory.
- Develop a solid understanding of peripheral and complementary products and solutions supplied by Motorola Solutions and others.
- Guide regional Sales and Channel management with regular metrics, aiming to deliver $17M sales of Motorola’s Radio Portfolio.
Basic Requirements
- Experience working with Channel Partners.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
- Able to engage with senior partners (GMs, CEOs).
- Able to travel frequently within the territory.
- Knowledge of Two-Way or related Wireless Technologies is advantageous.
- Understanding of emerging technologies within the Radio/Wireless Industry.
