We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and strategically minded sales professional to take on the role of Key Account Manager. You will focus on developing and growing your portfolio base and commercial relationships with our trade partners in your designated region. You should possess exceptional sales and customer service skills and have the commercial acumen to drive significant growth across all areas, including TTV, margin, and room nights. Working alongside our Strategic Account Managers, Sales Executives, and other internal stakeholders, you will aim to meet your targets and maintain a good working knowledge of the industry with a focus on acquisition.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Analyze client productivity to identify new opportunities for growth in TTV, OM, and revenue to exceed targets.
  2. Drive client acquisition activities.
  3. Develop relationships with key travel agent partners.
  4. Coordinate with sales and other internal teams to align strategies.
  5. Negotiate, implement, and monitor the performance of key commercial agreements.
  6. Represent the company at client conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  7. Participate in strategic planning, reporting, and customer relationship management.
  8. Act as a liaison between internal teams and external clients.
  9. Conduct on-site sales calls with your portfolio of travel agent partners, including overnight stays if necessary.
  10. Maintain and expand relationships with clients while achieving sales targets.
  11. Maintain regular interactions with clients to develop strong relationships and identify business opportunities.
  12. Serve as the main contact point for clients interacting with Hotelbeds.
  13. Continuously analyze client performance to increase sales and prevent churn.
  14. Generate new business opportunities by introducing new products or destinations, opening new markets, and promoting key business lines.
  15. Drive sales growth and profitability through proactive portfolio management.
  16. Focus on the growth and development of existing clients.
  17. Identify and assess clients’ critical needs.
  18. Master distribution rules to ensure correct and maximized product distribution.

Skills:

  1. Proven experience in sales, preferably with a degree.
  2. Fluent in English, French, and Dutch.
  3. Proficient in computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  4. Strong communication skills at all levels.
  5. Good presentation skills, including creation and delivery, with comfort in speaking to groups.
  6. Commercially astute.
  7. Analytical skills.
  8. Knowledge of Tableau, Salesloft, Salesforce, industry contacts, API, and technical understanding is a plus.
  9. Ability to multitask.
  10. Understanding of profitability.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the travel industry, preferably retail.
  2. Experience managing multiple client projects.
  3. At least 2 years of experience working with budgets and targets.
  4. Experience driving profitability is advantageous.
