ph3Role Description /h3pAs a (Senior) Project Manager within the Transmission Distribution (TD) team, you will lead network expansion and reinforcement projects for TD companies in the Netherlands and internationally. Your role combines technical expertise with strong project management skills to accelerate client projects from initiation through delivery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations, while proactively managing risks and exploring innovative solutions. This role offers a challenging and impactful opportunity to contribute to the energy transition and sustainable infrastructure development. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliServe as primary liaison between clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. /liliDefine, contribute to, and deliver TD projects according to specifications and best practices. /liliChallenge and propose alternative solutions to enhance project outcomes beyond standard approaches. /liliProactively identify, assess, and manage risks to mitigate negative impacts on projects. /liliNegotiate and manage scope changes, extra work, and potential claims. /liliEnsure accurate planning, control, and reporting for all internal and external project activities. /liliLead multidisciplinary teams, coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction, and stakeholders. /liliCommunicate complex technical and commercial issues clearly to peers, senior management, and clients. /liliPrepare clear and concise offers, technical documentation, and reports. /li /ulh3Qualifications Experience /h3ulliDegree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering (BSc, MSc, PhD) or equivalent TD expertise. /liliProven experience as a Project Manager or Lead Engineer in substation and/or plant projects aligned with international/industry standards. /liliStrong knowledge of HV substation primary, control protection, or secondary equipment design, including feasibility studies, reporting, programming, and cost estimating. /liliBroad understanding of Transmission Distribution technologies, standards, methodologies, and technical software tools. /liliDemonstrated success managing engineering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. /liliSolid project management skills including contract, claim, and risk management. /liliEffective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including equipment suppliers and service providers. /liliCommunication skills for technical and commercial content aimed at diverse audiences. /liliExperience producing clear offers, technical documentation, and reports. /li /ulh3Preferred / Nice to have /h3ulliExperience working with European Transmission System Operators (TSO) or Distribution System Operators (DSO). /liliDutch language proficiency or willingness to learn. /liliCandidates with strong technology or infrastructure project experience but without direct TD background are encouraged to apply. /li /ulh3Benefits /h3ulli30 vacation days per year for full-time employment, with the option to buy or sell additional days. /liliEmployees can use the NS business card for free for private travel. /liliAdditional arrangements regarding birth leave for partners and paid parental leave. /liliPossibility for hybrid working, supported by an appropriate home-working allowance and a professionally equipped home workspace. /liliGood pension scheme with the Dutch Pension Fund (HNPF), with Arcadis paying the majority of the premium. /liliOpportunities to take courses and training, with access to our extensive Arcadis Learning Experience Platform (LXP). /li /ulpOur commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging: We want you to be able to bring your best self to work every day.
